From the Den: A Message for our Diamondback Families from the Superintendent
Summer has arrived, and planning for the 2024-25 school year is underway. With each passing year, our staff continues to find ways to improve students' education quality. We’re moving into the second year of our CKLA reading curriculum, a program that has proven to be a transformative experience for our students. It has introduced them to new and exciting topics and significantly enhanced their reading comprehension and vocabulary. In May, the Trustees approved our new math curriculum, Math Expressions. Our math curriculum has not been updated in over five years, so we’re excited to make this change. Each curriculum improvement is an opportunity to enhance our school’s vision of mastery today…success tomorrow.
Procedural Audit
Our team is starting the audit process to make significant procedural updates to our handbooks. We highly value your input and believe that these updates, with your help, will provide transparency to parents and improve communication. Through Infinite Campus, we will improve our tracking and information dissemination for parents. This is sent through email or text updates. Our Elevate UC phone system also gives teachers text capabilities with parents about student progress. It’s always our goal to provide clarity through simple communication about changes and special events in easily accessible ways.
Open House and Q & A Session
Look for information about our open house in August, where you can meet with teachers and get a tour of new improvements throughout the building. There will be a Q & A session for parents with me to discuss the essential handbook and facility updates. As our gym floor gets sanded and redesigned in June, we are excited to share the results during our open house. Our gym will be back open in July and August. Please refer to our Facebook or District website for facility information and the date of the open house in August at https://www.dbps.k12.mt.us/ and https://www.facebook.com/DuttonBradySchool/. See you at our open house!
Our Mission Statement
Each team member is essential to our mission of providing “a well-rounded education for student to confidently navigate their world.” Every staff and community member has unique talents that help us provide a high-quality education to our students.
Go Diamondbacks!
Best,
